Health And Well-being Department

The Health and Well-being Department of Lead Connect Global is responsible for designing and implementing inclusive, community-driven health programs that improve the physical, mental and social well-being of young people and underserved populations across Ghana.

The Department focuses on preventive health education, access to essential health services, community engagement, and youth leadership, with strong attention to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), HIV/AIDS, mental health, maternal and child health, nutrition, gender-based violence prevention and climate-related health risks.

Guided by a rights-based and gender-transformative approach, the Department works in both urban and rural communities to address health inequalities, harmful social norms and barriers to care. Programs are culturally appropriate, ethically grounded, and designed in collaboration with community leaders, health institutions, government agencies and development partners.

Through capacity building of youth, volunteers and community health champions, the Department promotes sustainable, locally led health solutions that align with Ghana’s National Health Policy and the United Nations Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
